We are looking for a junior trader to join our proprietary trading company Growing Power based in Lugano (Switzerland).
We are looking for someone with a good knowledge of financial markets and/or commodities markets.
Excel proficiency is required and some exposure to programming would be fundamental too (Matlab, SQL).
Duties:
• Collaborate with researchers to develop and improve trading strategies
• Quantitatively analyze trade data
• Assist in the development of analytical tools
• Investigate the potential application of existing strategies to new products
• Perform post-trade analysis of strategies
• Communicate relevant news, market events, and system behavior to team members.
Requirements:
• Previous front office experience in a trading is a strong plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, or economics.
• Advanced quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, VBA
• Experience programming in Matlab
• Must be self-motivated, enjoy challenges and large amounts of responsibility and thrive in fast-paced, competitive environments
• Individuals must communicate effectively and work well in teams
• Previous work expirience in a trading/analysis role preferred but not required.
